Social Syntax is looking to hire a brilliant intern who has a strong grasp of Web technologies, compelling writing skills, and a voracious need to learn.

As part of the internship, you’ll be doing lots of writing for Web sites and interacting regularly with others on social networks. You’ll also be spending a considerable amount of time engaging in online conversations and will have the opportunity to learn and use highly configurable monitoring and business intelligence tools to help clients identify a return on their investment int he social media space.
You will be responsible for monitoring analytics for customers as well as writing reports and proposals for client business. A strong familiarity with one or more social networking tools, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, is required. The ability to take directions and own tasks as well as anticipate needs is something we’re really looking for.
Additional skills we’d like to see include:
- Graphic Design
- Web design skills (PHP, CSS, Flash, Dreamweaver)
- Public speaking / training
- SEO, SEM, PPC marketing
- WordPress configuration
- Video editing and uploading via YouTube, Vimeo or DailyMotion
- Web accessibility and usability

Additional information:
This position can be based in Chicago or Milwaukee and requires at least 15 hours per week for a minimum of ten weeks. Is there an opportunity for full-time employment? Yes, that’s the idea.
